The meeting will take place at UWS Paisley Campus in Room D128. The meeting will consist of the usual coaching slot and meeting business before the AGM takes place and will began at 7pm.

Prior to attending the AGM, you must have paid your membership fees.

Please read the following information carefully:

The Management Committee proposed and the members accepted the following membership fees for season 2023/2024:

  • Ordinary Members – £35 membership fee + £10 registration fee = £45 total
  • Full-time Students (proof required) – £10 registration fee only
  • Senior Associate Members – £10 registration fee only

If you were a member of the September 2022 or January 2023 classes, you do not need to pay fees.

Similarly to previous meetings, this meeting will also be able to be viewed on the Zoom platform with full details of how to access the meeting having been emailed to all members.

August 2022 Members Meeting

It is with great pleasure that we can inform you that our August members’ meeting will take place face-to-face for the first time since pre-Covid.  This has been a long time coming as I’m sure you’ll agree, and we look forward to seeing many of you at the pre-Zoom venue of University of the West of Scotland Paisley Campus, Room D128 on Monday 8th August 2022.

However, please note the new start time of 7pm, different from the normal time of 7.30pm. This is due to UWS requiring to close at 9pm sharp, so we want to have more time to play with in case we run over time.

For those of you who live some distance away from Renfrewshire, we are planning to use Zoom as per Covid practice to offer you the chance to still attend, in a hybrid-style meeting.  We would encourage those who are able to attend in person to still do so. Full details have been sent to members via email.

The meeting will consist of the usual meeting business and coaching slot and we would like to see as many of you there as possible.

Following the members meeting, we will have our Nominations Meeting to elect the Management Committee for the forthcoming season.  If you wish to be considered for a position on the Management Committee, please inform me as soon as possible. Members Strava Club

Category : News

It is a very frustrating time for all our referees, being unable to train as a group each Tuesday. It is still unclear when we will be able to do so. As such, we had a suggestion from a member to set up an association Strava club.

Strava is an app for your smartphone which allows you to track your fitness training, whatever activity that may be.  It was an excellent suggestion, and as such Barry Feery has created a club on the app for Renfrewshire Referees.

It could provide that extra motivation for you to go out for a run, cycle or a walk.  You can request to join the group using the following link:

https://www.strava.com/clubs/RenfrewRefs

Once your request to join has been approved, it will allow you to view members activity levels, leaderboards and comment to encourage each other.

If anyone has any issues just get in touch using the usual channels.

Happy training!

January Members Meeting

A reminder to all members that our first members’ meeting of 2021 will take place this Monday 11th January 2021 with a start time of 7.30pm.

There will be the usual meeting business and a coaching slot from our Category 1 officials which will be of benefit to you all, even if you are not currently refereeing it will benefit your game when you are able to.  I would encourage you to attend if you can.

Similarly to previous meetings, this meeting will take place on the Zoom platform with full details of how to access the meeting having been emailed to all members.

October Members Meeting

A reminder to all members that our second members’ meeting of the 2020/21 season will take place this Monday 12th October 2020 with an earlier start of 7.15pm. This is to allow us to approve the audited accounts which were sent to members emails a couple of weeks ago.

Similarly to previous meetings, this meeting will take place on the Zoom platform with full details of how to access the meeting having been emailed to all members.

August Members Meeting

A reminder to all members that our first members’ meeting of the 2020/21 season will take place this Monday 10th August 2020 with a 7.30pm start.  Similarly to the AGM, this meeting will take place on the Zoom platform with full details of how to access the meeting having been emailed to all members.

I would stress the importance of attending this meeting if possible, as the amendments to the Laws of the Game will be covered by our association coaches.  Albeit we cannot referee at the moment, you will be required to know them and be able to apply them when we do eventually return to refereeing, so please attend if you can.

You should all have received a copy of the March members’ minutes in last month prior to the AGM.  For anyone who was not in attendance at the AGM, the new management committee is as follows:

President – Graham Grainger
Vice President – Chris Palmer
Secretary – Andy Taylor
Assistant Secretary – Ryan Kennedy
Treasurer – Michael Bonner
Training Officer – Gary Toland
Digital Officer – Barry Feery
Development Officer – Craig King
Schools & Leagues Officer – Ross Cooper
